According to manatee conservation updates, this may be the last year we will be able to swim with the manatees!!

When: February 10-12, 2012

Accommodations: $99 +9% tax ($107.91/night/room)

Room Options: Garden Double or King; Waterside Double or King. You must make your own reservations and pay with a credit card under Group ID: Atlanta Underwater Explorers. The cost of one night will be charged upon receiving the credit card information as a deposit for the room. Hotel cancellation policy: 72 hours in advance of arrival by 6:00 PM, full refund of deposit.

Dining Options: Full hot breakfast buffet, $10 + tax & gratuities.

Spa Options: 20% discount on Aveda Spa services (reservations in advance).

Pick up AUE Registration Packets with all your activity tickets upon hotel check-in.

SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES:

• Friday, 2/10/2012: 8:00 AM. Pre-Crystal River activity – dive @ Devil’s Den with Ken Stewart (Tennessee Aquatic Project) and others. Pay @ Devil’s Den – Scuba diving: $37.00. Devil’s Den Springs, 5390 N.E. 180th Ave, Williston, FL 32696, 352-528-3344. Visit the website for location and description of fun spring diving. http//www.devilsden.com
  • After you complete your dive, head on down to Crystal River, FL to meet with the rest of our group.
  
  
• Saturday morning, 2/11/2012: 7:30 AM. Snorkel only with the manatees on Crystal River. Meet at the Dive shop on Plantation Resort grounds. Guided tour on pontoon boat.
  
  
• Saturday afternoon, 2/11/2012: 1:00 PM. Depart from Plantation Resort and drive/carpool to Rainbow River for drift dive/snorkel. Meet boat at KP Hole boat ramp. Directions will be provided.
  
  
• Saturday evening, 2/11/2012: 7:00 PM. Banquet dinner. Dinner menu includes entree choices (Pork Medallions or Chicken Marsala, and for vegetarians – Portobello Napoleon), house salad, chef’s choice of starch, vegetable and dessert; rolls, iced tea and coffee.
  
  
• Sunday morning, 2/12/2012: Hotel check out by 11:00 AM. Depart for a safe trip home after a great weekend of fun and fellowship!!
