Black Coral Divers (BCD) a Charter Club of the National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS) was founded in 1994, in Dallas, Texas and was organized for the following purposes:
Provide fellowship for African American Divers in the DFW area.
Promote scuba, water skills, and environmental/conservation
awareness
Provide scholarship funds for college students studying marine or
enviromental sciences.
Encourage scuba diving trips and open water educational
experiences
Promote underwater environmental activities and explore career
options
